The mission of Girls Inc. is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. Their programs prepare girls to navigate gender, economic, and social barriers and equip them to grow into healthy and independent women. They provide year-round programming to 5,000 girls, ages 4 1/2 to 18, that focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math), financial literacy, sound body image, healthy relationships, and college and career readiness. Peruvian Hearts is a non-profit organization working to end poverty and gender inequality in Peru by educating adolescent girls. They provide private schooling for girls and promote opportunities in post-secondary and university institutes. In addition they support an orphanage of thirty girls located in the hills outside of Cusco with a focus on education. Currently, there are an estimated 500,000 young girls in forced prostitution in India. Freedom Firm is a non-profit organization seeking to abolish the sex trade industry through an extensive program focused on rescue and restoration of girls who have been trafficked.
